The Winery
The estate, located in the small town of Dobbins, has been in the family since 1906. The property was originally used as a cattle ranch and farm. When the current owners, Dan and Marian Lucero retired they decided to start a vineyard.
The Vineyards
The first vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, were planted in 1992. The Merlot vines were planted in 1995.
The Wines
The wines of Lucero are full-bodied, with deep, intense flavors, common to the Yuba region. All wines are estate grown and bottled.
The Winemaker
The winemaker at Lucero Vineyards is winery owner Dan Lucero. To enhance his winemaking skills he has taken numerous classes at University of California at Davis.
