List of Wineries in Amador County

There are several wineries located in the Amador County region of the Sierra Foothill AVA. This area is on the western and southern edges of the county at roughly the 800 to 1800 foot elevation. Although somewhat warmer than the higher elevation wine regions, the evenings are cooled significantly by the breeze off the mountains at night. This allows the area wineries to produce many great Zinfandels as well as an increasing number of Rhone and Italian varietals.
